Reasons Why Myrtle Didn't Make Her Insanely Restricted Grocery Budget This Month
- Pencil Thin Asparagus
- Eggplant
- Acorn Squash
- Scali Rolls
- Chili Paste (finally finding that all-too-elusive-stuff)
- Hoisin Sauce (I want to try more Asian things)
Yep, one of the items of contraband I bought at the store was an eggplant ... because it was actually in great shape. I had visions of finding a new way to cook an eggplant. Only my innards—my forgetting to take my innards medication—got in the way. So, tonight I roasted the eggplant and froze it so that, eventually, I could make some more baba ganoush.
Good thing I have this freezing stuff going on in my life, eh?
I wrote a few letters today, but not even half of what my goal was. I was too distracted.
He is so adorable.
And I am not able to concentrate on anything.
Except for his curls.
It is staggering, to me, just how much my mind has changed. But instead of drowning in that today, I lost myself in twisting those corkscrew curls atop his head. And thinking that one day, eventually, in a while, before too much time has passed, I should pick up the scissors, sheer the sheep, comb out those tangles in the goat's ears, and give the garbage disposal a bath.
I am Yours, Lord. Save me!
